Syed Hamid Albar - The Return of the.......

OK! So SPAD has now apparently got it's wings, some 6-8 months after it's announcement.

And as expected Syed Hamid Albar returns, but if you are expecting him to make the difference....don't!

Here is a good example of 'leaders' we don't need! And this is the very reason that turn people away from Barisan, recycled leaders.

Of his many gaffes since taking over SPAD, today is a simply another day he makes nonsensical statements;

1.He announced that there will be a clampdown on School vans and bus operators.

2.Tan Sri, is this your immediate task as Chair of SPAD? Shouldn't you place priority on the other issues, such as public transport?

3.What is your objective in doing so? to create more troyuble for already troubled parents? or going out of your way to find 'wlternative' revenue source to meet your KPI's?

4. Look into Taxi's and the way licenses are given; it should be given to hardworking drivers who intend to own their own taxis, not the likes of XXXXcab sdn bhd, and co-operatives who do nothing but skim their own members. Provide a good training regime for intended taxi drivers that do not limit where tey can pick up their passengers. Take away some powers from the RTD and Police who stop taxis at random for god knows whatever reasons.

5.THEN, ONLY THEN come take action on vans and school buses. Citing safety and insurance for these vehicles are Bullshit! How many accidents do we hear of involving school buses? I have a 6 year old taking a private van which I have every confidence in. The lady driver, stops the van in a safe place. Lines up the kids hand in hand and walk across a narrow lane to school. and when its time to pick them up, she personally stands at the gate to identify every student. Though she insists that the Rm0.10 sen increase on premium petrol applies to her, I gave in seeing the safe service that she provides.

So, before you force parents like us to submit to your whims and fancies, by FORCING us to use those big buses that wait for 49 other children and send home our kids 1 1/2 hours after school, THINK AGAIN.

I think you have created enough trouble in MAYC (Malaysian Association of Youth Council) resulting in split factions, and I sincerely believe you are not taking on the right issues relating to 'pengangkutan awam' through your current office.

A lesson from a former Anwar-ista

Having spent lunch with Datuk Seri Zahrain Hashim, it dawned upon me that despite what they said about politicians, there are still many out

there who do not sell their principles.

One year after his departure from PKR, Zahrain speaks frankly with the media and bloggers.

Post 2008, Zahrain unveiled that in the days leading up to the formation of the Penang State Government, he was instructed by Anwar 'to not be subservient to DAP'. This lead to Zahrain having clashed with Lim Guan Eng on matters pertaining to Malay rights, which eventually lead to
Zahrain labeling Guan Eng as a dictator and communist.

It was then that Zahrain discovered that Anwar had bypassed him, and referred him instead to the PKR discipline committee. Zahrain found out the hard way that party members are but a pawn in the political game. Anwar it seems placed far more importance in gaining chinese support
rather than rile them up by demanding more for the Malays in that state.

Needless to say, the events that followed lead Zahrain to declare that 'more lawmakers would follow his footsteps'..and the rest they say is history.

'I will not compromise my principles' declaring that the main reason for his departure was his doubts after being sold out, and that he had lost faith in the party after encountering Anwar's deceit once too many.

Declaring that his aim was to ensure that the voters are not taken in by Anwar's two faced approach, he accepted that in his efforts to do so BN will be at the advantage.

'My aim is to ensure that such a person like Anwar will not be the next Ptrime Minister'.

When asked why, he cited how Anwar had attacked Tun Dr Mahathir when he was PM, and gave reasons like cronism and nepotism as the main reasons that Mahathir had endorsed to remain in power.

'However, after accusing all that against Tun Mahathir, he is no different. Look at the party, it is his family and his friends'.

Zahrain reiterated how many had left PKR seeing through Anwar. 'The likes of Marina Yusoff, Chandra Muzaffar, Nallakaruppan and many others were all close to Anwar, and they left. That tells you the kind of man he is.'

In remaining Independent (konsensus Bebas), Zahrain has more time to go to ground focusing on his constituency end of business, yet there was a price to pay for his departure. Around 1200 voters had submitted a petition for him to resign his post, and when confronted, the voters did not engage him. Choosing instead to attack his facebook page, even causing him to experience 'Facebook phobia', Zahrain explains.

In the aftermath of his resignation, and primarily due to his involvement in PKR prior, his followers who were mainly PKR members became hostile, to the point that he could not even bare to open his facebook page.

He chose instead to channel his energy to convincing his 27,000 voters why he would rather leave PKR and serve than to bend over backwards for the party.

He further claims that there were some MPs and ADUNS who had spoken to him on their intentions to leave too, and he is certain that this will happen as more and more were now able to assess for themselves what the real Anwar stands for.

On his plans to stand for the next elections, Zahrain answered the obvious yes, but summise that he has yet to really sit down and plan.

His immediate plans is to formalise an association called Persatuan Kemajuan Insan (KESAN) which he aims to use to help provide an avenue for voters, especially to explain what independents can do to support the call for change by the Najib Administration with regards to Economic Transformation and the benefits that will come with it.

Here stands a true independent candidate who can work alongside positive changes and administration rather than stand aside and criticise, much to the chagrin of his former pejuang-s!

KIV for now....but we'll keep the Ferrari

KIV is probably something you hear when you are applying for a job from the HR officer who says that you are good but not good enough. At least that is the message that you might get.

But what about if you are being investigated by the authorities? when they decide to 'sita' (compound) your property because it is under investigation?

If in the case of the Royal Customs, the property that was confiscated (let's just say your Ferrari) would be kept in the yard, and the owner (you) will be issued with a notice, informing you of the purpose, and offering you an option to communicate with the department of your next action, whether it be an appeal or something else.

However, if you are being investigated for contravening some laws in the cyber front (apart from the notice, don't expect the same) your Ferrari might just as well be kept in a showcase!

I got wind that a certain Datuk who had his Ferrari (not he one on four wheels) taken away when he was being investigated for a posting with regards to a certain Minister was just told that his case warranted no further action, in other words KIV, but yet due to the nature of the case, his Ferrari has to remain in.......limbo.

Now, judging on this, the state of being for these compounded cases which involves properties must certainly be of concern, especially to those who had it taken away.....for Keeping In View.

Ever passed by a police station and seeing scores of seemingly abandoned vehicles? Same shit, different place.

How long does KIV mean, and when will the Datuk see his Ferrari again?
